FTI’s Technical and Engineering (T&E) group secures the introduction and setup of any new product or process at FTI. It not only includes optical media manufacturing process and line detailed knowledge but also testing infrastructure, including correlations and calibration. The core competence of T&E is to understand thoroughly the disc manufacturing steps, the machines used to produce them and includes in depth analysis and understanding of disc quality. Our R&D is responsible for the technical improvements of the manufacturing lines used to produce high quality media as well as for the development of the disc testers used in quality assurance.

Our T&E has the best knowledge of how the testers work and how the disc quality can be assessed. We are proud to be curious, to challenge ourselves to have in depth knowledge and to understand the processes used and to translate what we measure into practical
